Fresh off the back of running the press office for ISCT's annual meeting earlier this month, IB Communications have continued our attendance at the key events of the year; with the latest being the Advanced Therapies meeting at the ExCel Centre in London. With a significant number of our team present over the two-day event, we have been scheduling a plethora of interviews, as well as enjoying all of the various stands, speeches and networking events on offer.
Excitingly, we had our own stand at the event, with our new logo and brand overhaul proudly displayed for onlookers. Nestled near the entrance of the hall, we have spent our days engaging with passers-by, introducing them to IB and what we do. It was nice to see a number of our clients in person, some for the first time!
A significant part of our time at Advanced Therapies was centred around our role running the press office for the event. We have been liaising with a number of attending journalists, both in person and virtually, with more to come as everyone digests the talking points that have come out of the meeting. A key highlight was dinner with BioProcess International’s delightful Millie Nelson, discussing cell and gene therapies, travel and skiing; all over steaks and a glass of red wine, (or two).
The non-stop days of interviews and meeting people only left just enough time to soak in some of the engaging keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, with a particular highlight coming from our good friend and colleague, Miguel Forte, as he provided the introduction to the event and chaired a discussion on the state of the cell and gene therapy industry.
Another success from another conference and on to the next!
